Last summer, I was very fortunate to be able to shoot the MLB Home Run Derby X in Round Rock, Texas, focusing on Canes shortstop and #1 player in the class of 2026, Grady Emerson. Grady’s team, including former Dodger Adrian Gonzalez and Texas A&M stud Mya Perez, won this event and advanced to the overall championship in Salt Lake City, Utah, where the winners from each smaller event form the around the country go to compete against each other. Grady’s team won this event too, winning the entire thing against many former MLB and young stars from across the country.
